Read a magazine, catch up on your favourite tv show and relax with the comfort of knowing your vehicle is in great hands.

Rather keep yourself busy? We are more than happy to drop you into town and pick you up when your vehicle is ready, but if that doesn't suit and you need more freedom, we also have designated service loan vehicles on hand and available for you to use. Just let us know when you make your booking so that we can put one aside for you.

Regular maintenance, adjustments and tuning is your responsibility. We do offer service plans, so if you have purchased one of these plans then a number of services will have been prepaid.

While we always prefer you bring your vehicle back to us for servicing, we understand that this isn't always convenient. Cartown is MTA certified, and we only use the highest quality filters, parts and oils to meet vehicle manufacturer specifications. This will give you peace of mind for the balance of your vehicles manufacturer's warranty.

 

If you are unable to make it into Cartown, it is suggested that you take your vehicle to your local MTA approved repairer to ensure best vehicle servicing practice is being used. If your vehicle is within manufacturers or aftermarket warranty, the vehicle must be repaired by an authorised repair facility. Failure to do so will void the claim and potentially the balance of the warranty.

Find An MTA Repairer

Most automotive services are completed in approximately 2-3 hours. However, if there are any faults identified or additional parts required, then this may take a little longer. We appreciate and usually ask customers to leave their vehicles with us for the day and we will call to advise when the vehicle is ready for collection. 

Absolutely - Cartown is your one-stop-shop for all automotive servicing and repairs. We have qualified and experienced mechanics and warrant of fitness inspectors on hand and ready to help you.

Having your new vehicle serviced in line with the manufacturer's requirements will ensure the vehicles longevity and enhance the resale value of your vehicle. By servicing at an authorised service centre, your vehicle will be looked after by fully trained technicians using genuine parts and approved lubricants.

It is important to service your vehicle at regular intervals as per manufacturers specifications to keep your vehicle in perfect health. As a general rule of thumb, it is recommended to service your vehicle every 10,000km's or 12 months whichever occurs first. However, if your vehicle is still within manufacturer's warranty or aftermarket warranty provisions, please refer to your owner's manual/policy booklet or purchasing dealership for the correct intervals. It is important to note that accurate servicing validates warranty.

 

Our new vehicle brand servicing intervals are as follows:

 Haval H2, H6, H9

1st Service - 6 months or 5,000kms (whichever comes first)

All following services - Annually or every 10,000km (whichever comes first)

 

Haval Jolion, Jolion Hybrid, H6 3rd Gen, H6 Hybrid & H6 GT

1st Service - 12 months or 10,000kms (whichever comes first)

All following services - Annually or every 15,000km (whichever comes first)

Please note, this process will only work when the engine light is on and the spanner light is flashing.

 

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS PROCESS OVER A FLAMMABLE SURFACE!!

 

Follow these steps below:

  1. Make sure all doors are closed on your vehicle.
  2. Without depressing the brake pedal, press the start/stop button so all ignition lights are displayed on the dash.
  3. Give it a couple of seconds and then press the DPF clean button which is located down by your right knee. Do this for approximately 5 seconds until the message on the dash shows “START VEHICLE AND IDLE”.
  4. Once you see “START VEHICLE AND IDLE” appear on the dash, depress the brake pedal and press the start button to turn the vehicle on. After a few seconds, the engine RPM’s will increase to approximately 2000rpm. The cleaning process will now run for approximately 15-20 minutes and then once finished the idle will drop down to normal idle and the spanner light will no longer be on.
  5. The vehicle is now ok to drive and operate as normal. The engine lamp will turn off after 4 drive cycles.

The service intervals recommended by your manufacturer are based on the age and mileage of your vehicle. They usually state that a service is carried out either each year or at a particular km limit, whichever comes first.

If your service interval is, for example, every 12 months or every 10,000km's, you will need to service the car either at the one-year mark or when you reach 10,000km's, whichever comes first. So even if you only travel 5,000km's in the year, the car will still need to be serviced at the 12-month interval to help maintain its optimal performance and any warranty.

The cost of a service can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and for each different service interval. As an authorised franchise dealer, while your vehicle is still in the new warranty period we are bound to the manufacturer’s set servicing schedules, using only genuine parts and approved lubricants. This is to ensure the vehicle’s warranty remains validated and your vehicle performance is optimised. We can provide you with an estimated cost for your next service upon request.

 

For vehicles outside our franchise range we can offer a basic fixed price service. Depending on the model, these can start at $199 and does not include the cost of any additional repair work as a result of the service.

 

 

We accept many payment methods including EFTPOS, credit card, cash, ZIP, Genoapay, Farmers Finance & Q Card. Please note there is a 1.95% surcharge for Farmers Finance & 2.5% surcharge for Q Card.

If you have a service plan included with your vehicle purchase, then you don’t need to make a payment towards your service for the duration of the plan. The exception to this is if there is a wear and tear item requiring replacement (e.g. remote batteries, bulbs, wiper blades, brake pads, etc) or any additional repair work as a result of a service inspection.

 

We have a number of designated loan vehicles available for use, however they are often booked out a week or so in advance.  Whilst we do our best to accommodate courtesy vehicle requests for urgent repairs, we do appreciate bookings made in advance. Please enquire about availability when making your booking.

 

If you would prefer to wait around while your vehicle is serviced, we do have a customer lounge onsite. Standard service times will vary, but we can give you an estimated timeframe at the time you make your booking.

Currently, our workshop is only open on the second Saturday of each month. We are open 8am - 5pm on weekdays so get in touch and we will do our very best to be accommodating. If it's a matter of time restrictions, please let us know so that we can prioritise your booking. We do also have loan vehicles available upon request at time of booking (please note charges may apply, subject to availability.)
